In short: belonging to the Professional Singles Network is free. Events, workshops and getaway trips are paid and priced separately. We ask everyone to be respectful, and we can’t guarantee particular outcomes from meeting people or attending sessions.
1. About us
Sparked Connection Ltd (company number 16967307) (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Professional Singles Network (singles-network.com) (the “Network”), a professional community for friendship, mentorship, collaboration and events.
By submitting an application, joining the Network, booking an event or workshop, or otherwise using our services or this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. Nature of the service
The Network is built around community, growth and collaboration. Depending on what a member has told us they are interested in, our services include access to a private member network, monthly networking calls, mentor circles, workshops, and social, co-working and networking events. Members are never required to use more than the parts that are relevant to them.
We do not operate as a dating app. There is no open browsing, swiping or public profiles.
3. Eligibility and acceptance
- All applications are subject to review.
- Submitting a questionnaire does not guarantee acceptance.
- We reserve the right to decline, suspend or discontinue membership where we reasonably consider it appropriate to do so.
By submitting an application for membership, you represent, warrant and undertake (on an ongoing basis throughout your membership) that:
- you are at least 27 years of age;
- you have the full right, authority and legal capacity to enter into and be bound by these Terms;
- all information provided by you is true, accurate, complete and not misleading, and you agree to promptly notify us of any material changes; and
- to the best of your knowledge and belief, you are not currently subject to any court order, restriction or ongoing circumstance that would reasonably make your participation in the service unsafe for other members or staff.
Sparked Connection Ltd reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate membership where it reasonably believes participation may present a safety, legal, operational or reputational risk to the service, its members or its staff.
4. Definitions
- “Member Event” means any social event, networking event, workshop, gathering, getaway trip, online event or other activity organised by us from time to time.
- “Mentor Circle” means a small group or one-to-one pairing of members, matched by us, for the purposes of informal professional mentorship.
- “Community Code of Conduct” means the standards of behaviour we ask all members to follow when interacting with other members, whether online, at events, or as part of a mentorship.
- “Community Membership” means the free membership of the Network described in section 5.
5. Free membership
Community Membership carries no fee, and no card is required. It includes:
- a 1:1 introduction call with a member of our team, to understand your interests and goals within the Network;
- ongoing notice of in-person and online Network events;
- monthly networking video calls with the wider Network community; and
- access to the Mentor & Mentee programme (see section 6).
Self-development and business workshops, social events and getaway trips are not included with Community Membership. They are individually priced and open to all members on the same terms, with pricing always disclosed before booking (see section 9).
Leaving the Network
Community Membership carries no fee, minimum term or cancellation charge. You may stop participating, or ask us to close your membership and remove your profile from future consideration, at any time by giving written notice to hello@sparkedconnection.com. Any Member Events you have already paid for remain subject to section 9 and to the terms of each event at the time of booking.
6. Mentorship
Where a member has indicated an interest in mentorship, we may introduce them to one or more other members as part of a Mentor Circle, either as a mentor, a mentee, or both.
Mentor Circle introductions are made in good faith based on the information provided in a member’s profile, but we do not guarantee compatibility, availability, the continuation of any mentorship relationship, or any particular outcome (including career, business or financial outcomes).
- Mentorship is offered on an informal basis and does not constitute professional, legal, financial or career advice given by us.
- Members participate in mentorship relationships at their own discretion and are responsible for the advice or guidance they give or receive.
- Members agree to keep information shared during mentorship conversations confidential, save where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect someone’s safety.
- We are not liable for the accuracy, quality or outcome of any advice or guidance exchanged between members as part of a mentorship relationship.
Mentor Circle matching is included as part of free Community Membership at no additional cost.
7. Member responsibilities
Members agree to:
- provide accurate, truthful and up-to-date information;
- engage respectfully with other members; and
- remain reasonably responsive to communications.
To keep the Network a safe, respectful and high-quality environment for all members, you also agree not to:
- use the platform or its content for any purpose beyond what is outlined in this agreement;
- share, transfer or give access to your membership to any other individual;
- pretend to be someone you are not, or misrepresent your identity or your relationship with any person or organisation;
- harass, threaten, abuse or otherwise infringe the rights or wellbeing of other members or third parties;
- carry out any commercial activity on the platform, including advertising, promotions, competitions or business ventures, without our prior written consent;
- act in a manner that is deliberately hurtful, disrespectful or demeaning towards any other member; or
- be knowingly defamatory, disparaging or derogatory towards any other member.
8. Behaviour and conduct
All members agree to follow our Community Code of Conduct in every interaction with other members, whether online in the private member network, at Member Events, or as part of a mentorship.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership where a member behaves in a manner that is inappropriate, misleading, unsafe, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the values of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, harassment, dishonesty, and misuse of mentorship relationships or the member network.
In such cases, event and workshop fees already paid are non-refundable, and we shall have no obligation to continue providing mentorship matching or event access. We also reserve the right to submit serious complaints to the appropriate authorities.
You must notify us in writing immediately if you become aware of any inappropriate behaviour in connection with the service.
If you arrange any meetings with any person through your use of the service, whether a friend, mentor or mentee, you do so at your own risk. Please take reasonable precautions to ensure your personal safety and approach contact with anyone you meet through the Network with the same caution you would exercise when meeting anyone you do not know.
9. Fees, payments and refunds
Belonging to the Network is free. Events are paid.
Workshops and Member Events (including social events and getaway trips) are not included with Community Membership. They are individually priced and open to all members on the same terms. Pricing will always be clearly disclosed before you book, and payment of an event or workshop fee does not form part of, or entitle you to, any membership. Any “approximate” or “to be confirmed” price we publish is a guide only until confirmed.
Payments are taken through a third-party payment provider; we do not store your card details. Getaway trips may involve third-party hotels, transport and activity providers, and specific terms for each trip (including deposits and payment dates) will be provided before you book.
Event fees are non-refundable once the event has taken place, save as required by law or as set out in the event-specific terms provided at the time of booking.
10. Right to cancel (consumer rights)
Community Membership is free, so there is nothing to refund. Where UK consumer law gives you a cancellation right in relation to something you have paid for, nothing in these Terms affects it. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day cancellation right does not apply to leisure events booked for a specific date. Nothing in these Terms affects your other statutory rights.
11. Member events
We may, but are under no obligation to, organise Member Events from time to time. Workshops and Member Events (including social events and getaway trips) are individually priced and open to all members; pricing will be clearly disclosed before you book.
Participation in any Member Event is entirely optional and may be subject to separate booking requirements, capacity limits, suitability assessments, venue restrictions, health and safety requirements, and additional event-specific terms and conditions.
You attend any in-person Member Event at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from your attendance at a Member Event, except where caused by our negligence.
The cancellation, postponement, modification, unavailability or absence of any Member Event shall not entitle a member to any refund, compensation, credit or membership extension, save as required by law. Where we cancel an event outright and are unable to offer a replacement, we will refund what you have paid for it to the extent the law requires.
Where we organise Member Events, separate event-specific terms and conditions may apply and will be provided in advance. We reserve the right to invite media to attend events and to publish photographs. Where photography or video from an event may be used for marketing purposes, we will seek your consent separately and you may withdraw this at any time.
We are not responsible for any injuries or losses arising out of the use of alcohol or drugs at any event we organise or attend.
12. Privacy, confidentiality and profile sharing
We handle all personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Member information is treated with discretion and confidentiality, and personal contact details are only shared with another member with your agreement.
Where a member has indicated an interest in friendship, mentorship and/or events, we may make limited profile details, such as first name, profession and photo, visible to other vetted members within the private member network, for the purposes of friendship, mentorship and events. You may withdraw your consent to this at any time.
13. Use of AI-assisted tools
We may use secure, GDPR-compliant AI-assisted tools to support questionnaire review, meeting transcription, internal notes, summaries and follow-up actions. Where calls or meetings are transcribed, AI-assisted transcription or dictation tools may be used to help create accurate summaries, notes and agreed next steps. These tools are used solely for internal service delivery and are treated confidentially. No decision about your membership is made solely by automated means; AI supports, but does not replace, human judgement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:
- actions or behaviour of third parties, including other members, mentors, speakers, venues and suppliers;
- dissatisfaction with introductions or mentorship matches where the service has been delivered as described;
- indirect or consequential losses; or
- any delay in performance due to events outside our reasonable control, including acts of God, technical failures, illness, or the availability of suitable matches, venues or suppliers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, we do not conduct formal DBS checks, criminal background screening, financial checks, employment verification, or independent verification of all information supplied by members. Members remain responsible for exercising their own judgement when interacting with other members.
15. Service availability
The services are provided in their current form. We do not guarantee that the services, or any element of them, will meet your requirements, purpose or expectations. We are not liable for delays or interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control, including technical issues and illness. We reserve the right to suspend the services without notice for repair, maintenance or other technical reasons.
16. Disclaimer and intellectual property
The content shared through our services may include facts, views, opinions, advice and recommendations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable on account of the accuracy, defamatory nature, completeness, timeliness or otherwise of any content provided through the service. Our website may contain errors and, from time to time, may not be accessible. Any content provided is intended as information only and does not constitute professional advice.
Intellectual property rights in connection with the services are owned by us absolutely. You are expressly prohibited from reproducing, copying, editing or transmitting any of our materials, or removing, modifying or using any of our intellectual property, without first obtaining written permission. The website may link to third-party sites (for example, sign-up forms and booking pages); we are not responsible for their content or practices.
17. Notices
All notices given by you to us must be sent to hello@sparkedconnection.com. We may give notice to you at the email address you provide when registering. It will be sufficient to prove, in the case of an email, that such email was sent to the specified address of the addressee.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update or amend these Terms from time to time by giving reasonable notice. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking. By continuing to use the services after the expiry of the notice period, you will be deemed to have accepted any amendment to these Terms. If, on receipt of such notice, you wish to terminate your agreement with us, you may do so by giving us not less than seven (7) days’ notice, such termination to take effect on the date upon which the amended agreement would otherwise have come into effect.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
20. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at hello@sparkedconnection.com.
